Registering with Fit Group
Why do I need to register?
When setting you up to take on a class, we bring you on as an independent contractor and create a profile for you so that you’ll be contacted anytime a gig pops up in your area!
What happens after I register?
You’ll receive a welcome email giving you a breakdown of how it all works then you’ll start getting offer emails for classes that pop up in your area. Super easy!
Do I need Liability Insurance?
Liability insurance depends on you and whether or not you’d like to be secure in knowing that you will be covered if anything happens. Both Fit Group USA and the facilities have insurance and produce liability waivers to all attendees, we definitely recommend you have your own if possible.
Difference between Fit Group USA and individual instructors?
The facilities we work with choose us because we not only provide amazing instructors like you but also because we go through a rigorous credentialing approval program through their parent companies that allow us to provide these specific services.
Class Scheduling
What if I can’t take on a class?
No problem! There are no obligations for any of the class offerings to be taken by you as we send out emails to ALL instructors we have registered in the area.
Can I cancel a class I’m already scheduled for?
Absolutely, we are here to make your fitness career much easier, anytime you need a sub for a class we can help, we just ask that you give us as much notice as possible so that we have time to make sure a class is covered.
Why can’t I have the full address of the facility before I confirm?
Due to privacy concerns by the facilities we are contracted with, we avoid this because we contact every instructor within the area (5 or 10 or even 50 people!).
Am I allowed to reach out to the facility once I’m confirmed to teach?
We ask that you reach out to us before heading to the facility as some can be sensitive with visitors, we can set up a time for you to visit and even get you a tour!
Does the facility pay me?
The facility does not discuss pay or deal with any form of payment to instructors, Fit Group USA handles everything so you don’t have to!
Who do I talk to about my class schedule?
Always come to Fit Group USA about your schedule, if you need to cancel, need a sub, need to change a date or time, have a vacation planned or anything else we ask that you contact us at info@fitgroupusa.com. The facility has no ability to make any changes for you.
Can I bring someone to my class?
The facilities we work with are all providing private classes for their residents or guests, we ask that you do not bring anyone with you to your class.
If I need a sub, can I ask someone I know?
Only if they are registered through Fit Group USA, if not, they may register at www.fitgroupusa.com/instructor. We do offer subcontracting opportunities if you’d like to get paid to provide instructors. If so, contact us at info@fitgroupusa.com and we can work with you right away!
Receiving Payment
How do I get paid?
We currently pay instructors through Paypal, Venmo or CashApp.
Can I get a check?
Yes, we can send a check in the mail but do charge a small $3.50 fee for each check and only send them out one a month.
How soon do I receive payment?
Within 24 hours or less of the class completion.
What if I don’t see my payment?
Sometimes you won’t be notified that a payment has been sent, manually check your account and if you don't see payment email us right away at info@fitgroupusa.com. We do not follow up on sent payments regularly, it is important for you to make sure they are received.
